Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Un-Factory Foods™ ("Un-Factory Foods," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit unfactoryfoods.com (the "Site") or contact us. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Maker inquiries. When you use the Become a Maker form, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, and details about your food business and production setup — including questionnaire responses such as whether you operate a cottage or commercial kitchen, whether pets are present in your kitchen, and your water source.
- Retail inquiries. When you use the Stock Our Products form, we collect information such as your name, business name, role, contact details, and information about your store and interest.
- Direct contact. Any information you choose to send us by email or message.
Information collected automatically
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-focused tool that we self-host. It records aggregate usage data — such as pages viewed, referring site, country, and device type — and does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across other websites.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and time of request, for security and reliability.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad tracking.
How we use information
- Respond to and evaluate maker and retail-partner inquiries.
- Communicate with you about your inquiry, the network, and updates you request.
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site — such as website hosting, email delivery, and analytics — under obligations to protect it.
- Legal and safety authorities, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Cookies
The Site does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and our analytics are cookieless. Your browser may store essential technical data needed to display the Site.
Data retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, to manage our relationship with makers and retail partners — unless a longer period is required by law. You may ask us to delete it (see below).
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@unfactoryfoods.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. Residents of California and certain other jurisdictions have additional rights; we honor those rights and do not sell personal information.
Children
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the revision.
